Corey S Betters

Corey S Betters, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away in Houston, Texas on February 20, 2024. He was born on October 8, 1985, in Waco, Texas to his parents Craig Betters and Lisa Sauls-Gordon.

Corey spent his formative years in Waco, Texas where he attended Waco Schools. His faith in Christ was a cornerstone of his life from an early age, leading him to join Clay Street Christian Church. Known for his passion for staying active and fit, singing soulfully, and whipping up delectable dishes in the kitchen, Corey's vibrant spirit touched the lives of many.

In the wake of his passing, Corey is reunited with his loved ones who went before him: his Niece Miracle Martin, Cousin April Isaac Hill, Uncle Kevin Sauls, Grandfather Joseph Sauls, Loving Grandfather Jack, Auntie Jacquelyn Waits, and Great Grandmother Pauline Adams.

Corey will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those he leaves behind to cherish his memory. His mother Lisa Gordon (Eugene) of McGregor, Texas; Father Craig S Betters Sr. of Houston, Texas; Loving Grandmother Mary L. Sauls of Waco, Texas; Beloved Brothers TJ Martin (Tanganisha) of Arlington,Texas; Terrence Martin Sr. (Shajericka) of Lake Providence,Louisiana; Elijah Derrall Martin of Lake Providence,Louisiana; Craig Betters Jr. of Waco,Texas; Antwone Betters of Dallas,Texas; Caring Sister Crystal Smith-Adams of Houston,Texas. Also grieving are his 4 nieces Taylor Martin, Chasity Gooch,Kamorra Minix,Jordan Betters,and 7 nephews Taylen Martin,Tyler Martin,Terrence Martin Jr.,Antwone Betters Jr.,King Minix ,Quincy Minix,Khalil Smith along with a multitude of other relatives and friends.

Corey's generous heart and lively presence will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him during his time here on earth. May he rest in peace knowing that he was cherished and loved by so many.
